I guess you’re wondering why I caption this, as the tittle of my piece for today. Make no mistake, this is not the normal money for your early morning koko, but actually the penalty you pay for not wearing a face mask of Ghc 3, that has the tendency of helping you spend some time of your busy schedules at Block 1,Room 1, Nsawam or Jamestown prison for three months.
If you can recall my previous write up on face mask, to wear or not to wear ? (https://medium.com/@dkogh2011/face-masks-to-wear-or-not-to-wear-1bed948e9ed4)

During one of the numerous press conferences held by the Information ministry, Hon. Kwaku Agyeman — Manu, the minister of Health, he said the nonadherence spells doom for the fight against the virus and defiance would not be tolerated any further. By default, if you’re caught not wearing your face masks, the law will deal with you, and you will have no excuse. Just as, we were told from infancy, obedience is better than sacrifice. May we not learned by sad experience, but rather learn by good experience by wearing our face masks anytime we go out, and continue adhering to all other health protocols. For your information this is the Legislative instrument (LI) on wearing of face masks.
It has finally been gazetted. Failure to wear a mask while in a Public place is actually a criminal offence.
Section 6(1)(b) as read with section 11 of the Regulations. If found guilty you can be liable to a fine of 20,000/= or imprisonment for 6 months or both. Failure to wear a mask in a public or private transport and public transport operators Section 5(4) must wear mask. So, don’t say you were not warned. Share widely with friends so that they should not leave the house without a mask. Public place means stepping outside your house. So, take precautions.
Until then, may we all be citizens not spectators, abiding by the rules of wearing our masks, and being on watch out to those who seems to be living in wonderland.
