The past weekend was so stressful, and engaging for me, with its ups and down. For the football lovers, I’m sure you were glued to your Digital Satellite Television (DSTV) watching your favorite English Premiership League (EPL) matches.

For the wedding crushes, they were invited guests, with all the paparazzies and fashion freaks. The funeral folks were not left behind as they bid their loved ones fare well. With all these mind bubbling activities, I’m sure you’re looking forward to a great week, just like me!

Today, I have such an interesting thing to share with you. I call it, “Master Key”. I presume you might have heard this word many times. To the ordinary man, a master key is a key that can open several door locks at the same time. For example, you can have a particular key that opens all locks within a building. Just recently, I watched a movie titled, ‘Escape from Pretoria’

Escape from Pretoria is a 2020 thriller film co-written and directed by Francis Annan, based on the real-life prison escape by three political prisoners in South Africa in 1979, starring Daniel Radcliffe and Daniel Webber. It is based on the 2003 book Inside Out.

One thing I found so fascinating about this movie is the attitude of these three men. They carefully orchestrated their escape by making various investigation, with thoughtful plans, master minded by Daniel Radcliffe.

Before they could escape from the prison, they have to get the master key in order to make their escape, and freedom possible, which appears to be the most important key to their all waiting freedom. As events turn out, fellows, I ask one simple question, what is your master key? Can you really think of one if you’re called to? Or perhaps, can you figure out how you’ll escape from the challenges you’re facing with your own master key?

In the 8th Parliament of the Republic of Ghana, both the New Democratic Congress (NDC), and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) needed the incumbent Independent candidate, the Fomena Legislature’s approval to win the majority in parliament.

The Fomena Member of Parliament became the needed master key, in order for the house to decide, who is the majority. Nelson Mandela needed his master key of freedom, by forgiving those who wrongly jailed him, which apparently helped him later became South Africa’s president. Our very own Osagyefo Kwame Nkrumah had to turn on his key of self-government now, in order for then, Gold Coast to free itself from colonial rule.

Patrice Émery Lumumba had to fight with all his might in turning on the master key in the freedom of his people, Democratic Republic of Congo. We can look at several people who used their God given knowledge, and wisdom to transform various aspects of the human lives. I’m certain, just as our predecessors have shown us the way, we can follow their good examples.

The knowledge you acquired in your various universities, and colleges should not only put food, and materials things on your table, but it should help you make an informed decisions , transform your immediate environment, and help solve penitent issues confronting lives, businesses and the country in which you live as you realized how important you're.

We all have our master keys, I tell you! It is left to us ,to decide how we’ll use it. As for me, my most desirable key I always desire is to help inspire you to turn on your master key, stand up, look up in the mirror, and say yes, I can because you’re more than what you think you cannot do.
